Youth enterprise
Posted by helen at 7pm
This project was set up to encourage young people to develop their business ideas and give them skills required for setting up a social enterprise focusing on specific business skills such as financial and business planning, fundraising, identifying target audiences, marketing and branding and proposal writing.
Throughout the process the young people also develop a range of personal skills such as confidence and communication. We support the young people in kick starting their ideas and encourage them to put their imagination and creativity into real life practices.
Case Study – Bike City
Through Enterprise Development, LiC are supporting a group of young people aged 14 and 15 to set up their own Bike Repair business in their local estate. The idea came from a group who enjoy riding and have learnt to fix bikes. The young people wanted the opportunity to make profit from doing this as well as teaching others how to repair and educate in bike safety at affordable prices.
